Character History

Real Name: Unknown

Residence: Mobile
Occupation: Criminal
First Appearance (Golden Age): Star-Spangled Comics #54 (March 1946)

Nothing is known of the criminal known as the Tiger-Man prior to his appearance in 1946.  Media reports described a giant humanoid cat that robbed his victims and mauled those who failed to cooperate.  Robotman and Robbie decide go on patrol to find the criminal and hear a tell-tale roar from a nearby restaurant. Rushing inside, the find paralyzed patrons handing over their jewels to a large tigerlike man and his henchmen.  Defending his gang, the Tiger-Man takes a swipe at Robotman who grabs his wrist and declaws one hand, causing the criminal to flee.  As he does, a prehensile tail snags one last necklace while he and his gang beat a path to their getaway car.

After seeing to the gang's victim, Robotman and Robbie set off in pursuit.  Finding tire tracks outside, they follow them to a highway construction site on a large hill.  Charging the gang, Robotman is caught by surprise when the crooks use a water cannon designed to clear rocks to blast him and Robbie into a ravine.  Gloating that they had won, the criminals are caught off guard when Robotman flings a tree at them which snares them in its branches.  As the tree plummets to earth, Robotman catches it and deposits the stunned crooks on  the ground and unmasks the Tiger-Man, revealing him to be an ordinary criminal.  The gang is then handed over to the police (Star-Spangled Comics #54).

The further activities of Tiger-Man on Earth-Two are not recorded.
